Ketamine IV Infusion Therapy
WHAT IS KETAMINE?
Ketamine is recognized as the safest, most widely used anesthetic in the world. It’s an FDA approved Schedule III anesthetic that has been used on both humans and animals for over 50 years. It’s also been commonly used with young children.
HOW DOES KETAMINE WORK?
Ketamine has been shown to stimulate neuron growth in the brain in as quickly as one hour. Many scientists studying Ketamine are focusing on the neurotransmitter glutamate, which plays a key role in neural activation. Ketamine has also been found to be a strong anti-inflammatory, which is also being studied for its positive effects.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF KETAMINE IV INFUSIONS?
Ketamine works differently than traditional antidepressants. Ketamine immediately reduces stress and makes patients feel less lost, confused, and overwhelmed. This creates a window of clarity in which they can seek help and respond better to
traditional therapy and counseling.
- Immediate results in patients with refractory depression
- Dramatic improvements in mood within hour
- Effective treatment when other treatments fail
- Especially useful in suicidal patients when time is of the essence
WILL KETAMINE THERAPY HELP IF I HAVE TREATMENT-RESISTANT DEPRESSION?
Yes. An average of 83% of our patients have experienced substantial relief, and almost all of them were treatment resistant,
having tried countless medications, and in some case ECT and/or TMS, with little to no relief.
HOW MANY KETAMINE INFUSIONS WILL I RECEIVE?
For our mood disorder patients, that will depend on your response. We begin with two (or, in some cases, three) infusions 48-96 hours apart to see if Ketamine Infusions are effective for you. Most of our patients who respond see some improvement the day of or after their 2nd infusion.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
We do not accept insurance. Each infusion is $250. We accept cash or card.
